Andrew Jalil is an economist, whose research is in two distinct areas: (1) macroeconomic history (financial crises, monetary and fiscal policy, the Great Depression) and (2) food policy (health, sustainability). Andrew Jalil is the 2025 recipient of the Linda and Tod White Teaching Prize. On October 18, 2025, during Homecoming & Family Weekend, Professor Andrew Jalil gave a lecture on Federal Reserve Independence, as part of the Celebrating Our Shared Legacy of Excellence in Economics event.
