Paolo Velasco serves as assistant dean for academic affairs under the direction of the vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college. He provides strategic support and leadership to the dean’s office, serving as the principal resource for administering, overseeing, and facilitating the operations-related functions and programs for the office of academic affairs. He is responsible for overseeing academic affairs accounting and financial operations, overseeing academic affairs personnel (contracts, payroll, and HR issues), supervision of academic support services staff, coordinating academic facilities repairs and upkeep and equipment management, academic affairs data collection and analysis, academic affairs policy and procedure documentation, and taking on special projects or initiatives as directed by the dean.
