CTE and CRS host this session for Faculty as an open, inviting space for us to discuss how we are, or are thinking about, balancing our own research goals with student mentorship.
How do we bring students into our research in a way that feels sustainable and meaningful for both students and faculty? With the new Directed Research credit model, many of us are navigating a new landscape.
This is a chance to share your wins, your creative approaches to moving your research forward with student assistance, and the challenges you have encountered or anticipate. It is also a space to consider ways that the Directed Research model may or may not be suitable to your goals in any given semester. Whether you’ve already mentored a dozen students under this model or you’re just starting to think about it for the next academic year, we’d love to have your voice in the room.
We will have a lunch buffet for this workshop.
