The Animation Show of Shows returns with a curated selection of award-winning animated shorts from seven countries. This years program features 10 films exploring themes of personal relationships, identity, and philosophical questions through diverse animation styles from puppet animation to hand-drawn works.

Highlights include Daria Kashcheeva's International Student Academy Award-winning Daughter, a moving father-daughter story; The Fox and the Bird, a fable about unlikely friendship; and (Self-Narrative), a heartfelt portrait of a transgender girl's journey to self-realization. The program also features Michael Frei's mesmerizing KIDS, exploring group dynamics, and Gil Alkabetz's Rubicon, a witty take on political negotiations.

"Animation is an incredibly versatile medium that allows artists to explore situations and ideas you won't see anywhere else," says founder and curator Ron Diamond.

Curator Ron Diamond on age appropriateness: "This program is kid-friendly-thoughtful and occasionally uncomfortable, but also life-affirming, funny, and inspiring. There is no sex or profanity. Like life itself, the films include moments of interpersonal tension, sadness, anger, and physical conflict. Content includes a burial at sea, a transgender identity story, subtitled French and Russian dialogue, and brief slapstick violence (a wolf with an oar stuck in its hindquarters)."

Running time: 83 minutes. Includes two mini-documentaries on the creative process.
